The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline is a national, 24-hour, and toll-free suicide prevention service available to all in suicidal crisis – those who are suicidal and people who are trying to help them. Individuals seeking help can dial 1-800-273-TALK (8255). These calls are then routed to the closest possible provider crisis call center that has been certified through the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline network. The network is comprised of 125 individual crisis centers across the country creating a nationwide coverage area. The network is administered through Link2Health Solutions, Inc., an organization with experience in crisis, information, and referral hotline management.
